Buying Guide

Shipping

Delivery timeframes, order processing, pickup and delivery charges — everything you need to know about getting your order to you.

Last updated 5 November 2026

Free ongoing free shipping to Greater Sydney; limited-time promotions to other areas from time to time
0–3 days to process & dispatch in-stock orders
2–7 days metro delivery after dispatch for in-stock items

01 Shipping & freight

  • For most items, shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery postcode and cart, and the amount shown is the amount you pay.
  • Large or bulky items (for example baths and vanities), tiles and flooring delivered outside our free-shipping area require a freight quote. For these orders, the $1 shipping shown at checkout is a placeholder only — it is not the final freight cost.
  • After you place the order, our team will contact you with the actual freight cost for your address. We will not dispatch your order until you approve that cost. If you choose not to proceed, you will receive a full refund — no obligation.
  • Greater Sydney — ongoing free shipping. We offer standing free standard shipping to Greater Sydney and selected nearby regions on eligible orders. This is a permanent offer, not a limited-time promotion.
  • Other areas — occasional free-shipping promotions. From time to time we also run limited-time free-shipping promotions to additional areas. These are shown on site and at checkout for the promotion period only; eligible areas and dates may change, and they cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. MyHomeware reserves the right to make the final decision.

02 Standard delivery timeframes

Destination Delivery time after dispatch
Metro areas (all states) 2–7 business days
Regional areas (all states) 7–15 business days
Delivery timeframes are estimates calculated in business days from the date of dispatch, not from the date the order is placed, and apply to in-stock items. For backordered items, please see Section 07. Actual delivery times may vary depending on the courier and destination.

03 Order processing & delays

  • You'll receive an Order Confirmation Email as soon as your order has been successfully placed.
  • Please allow 0–3 business days for order processing. In most cases, in-stock orders are dispatched within the first 24 hours.
  • Once your order has been dispatched, we'll email you the tracking information.

Some delays may occur due to circumstances outside our control:

  • Public holidays, peak trading periods and major sale events may extend processing and delivery times. During Christmas and major sale periods, please allow extra time.
  • Exceptionally high order volumes may occasionally extend processing times.
Remote areas: Courier networks may have delivery limitations for some remote postcodes. Where door-to-door delivery is unavailable, your parcel may be delivered to a local depot or Australia Post outlet, and you'll be notified when it is ready for collection.

04 Additional delivery charges

Additional charges beyond the standard delivery fee may apply where:

  • Stair or lift access is required — for example, where the delivery point is not directly accessible or goods need to be carried up stairs. Additional charges may apply due to the extra labour and time required.
  • The delivery location is difficult to access, or two or more people are required to complete the delivery safely.
Any additional charges are assessed on a case-by-case basis, quoted and agreed with you before we proceed, and billed on a separate invoice. No surprises.

05 Missed deliveries

  • If nobody is available at the delivery address during the agreed delivery window, a redelivery fee may apply.
  • Any additional charge will be communicated to you and agreed before a second delivery attempt is arranged.
  • Please ensure that you or an authorised person is available at the delivery address during the agreed delivery window.

06 Pickup

  • We'll prepare your order as soon as possible and email you a notification with your booking number and collection details once it is ready.
  • Please wait until you receive this confirmation email before coming to collect your order.

Pickup and exchange services are not available on Sundays.
Order storage: We can hold a paid order for up to 8 weeks from the date it is ready for pickup or delivery. If collection or delivery cannot be completed within that time, storage fees may apply — we'll always contact you before any fee is charged.

07 Out-of-stock & backordered items

Stock levels can change quickly, and occasionally an item may show as available but sell out shortly after your order is placed. If this happens, we'll email you and provide the following three options:

  • Cancel backordered items We'll remove the unavailable items and dispatch the remaining in-stock items as soon as possible.
  • Cancel the whole order Choose immediate store credit or a refund.
  • Wait for replenishment We'll hold your order until the backordered items arrive.
For backordered items, the 365-day return period begins on the date you receive the item — not the original purchase date.
Returns & refunds Our full returns terms — including the 365-day return window, restocking fees and custom-order exclusions — are available on our dedicated policy page. Read the Returns & Refund Policy →

Bidet Toilet Seats FAQs

Can you put a bidet seat on a regular toilet?

Yes, most bidet toilet seats are designed to retrofit onto regular back to wall or smart toilets. As long as the toilet bowl shape, mounting hole distance, and water connection match, installation is straightforward. Electric bidet seats also require a nearby power outlet and compliance with local plumbing standards.

Electrical or non-electrical bidet seats, which are better?

Neither is universally better, and you can choose based on your needs. Non-electrical bidet seats are simple, affordable, and easy to install, ideal for basic hygiene upgrades. Electrical bidet seats offer warm water, heated seats, drying, and adjustable settings, delivering greater comfort for frequent daily use.

Which is better, a bidet or a bidet toilet seat?

A bidet toilet seat is usually the better choice for modern homes. It combines cleansing, comfort, and space efficiency in one unit and retrofits to most existing toilets. However, standalone bidets or bidet sprays require extra space and plumbing, so bidet toilet seats are more practical for most bathrooms.

How to maintain the bidet toilet seats?

It's simple to maintain a bidet toilet seat. Regularly wipe the bidet toilet with mild soap and a soft cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners, and use the built-in self-cleaning nozzle function. For electric bidet toilet seats, replace water filters if required and check hoses periodically to ensure safe, hygienic operation.

What to look for in a good bidet toilet seat for the elderly?

Look for a bidet in toilet seat with simple controls that are easy to read and use. Gentle, adjustable water pressure helps avoid discomfort, while heated water and a warm seat add comfort. A warm air dryer reduces wiping. Safety features like a soft-close lid, seat sensor, and stable support improve confidence and independence for elderly users.
