The RAK Lara takes the traditional pedestal basin form and refines it for the modern Australian bathroom. The gently curved rectangular basin bowl sits at a comfortable working height above the matching pedestal column, which conceals the waste pipe and water supply lines within its body — keeping the floor area visually clear and the installation tidy without any additional boxing or cabinetry. At 510mm wide and 405mm deep, the basin bowl provides adequate usable area for a main bathroom or ensuite while remaining proportional enough for a generously sized powder room.
The upright freestanding form works naturally in bathrooms where the basin is intended to be a visible design element — period renovations, transitional bathrooms, and contemporary spaces where the classic pedestal profile provides a deliberate contrast to flat-pack cabinetry and floating vanities.

Manufactured from premium vitreous china ceramic with a high-gloss white fired finish, the RAK Lara basin and pedestal are built to the standard expected of a RAK Ceramics product — dense, non-porous, and resistant to staining, thermal shock, and the surface discolouration that affects lower-grade ceramic over time. The gloss white finish reflects light cleanly, maintaining a bright, fresh appearance that does not require specialist cleaning products or surface treatments to sustain.

Installation
Freestanding Pedestal Install — 1 Tap Hole, With Overflow
The Lara installs as a complete freestanding unit — the basin sits on and is supported by the matching pedestal, with the basin also lightly wall-bracketed for lateral stability (wall bracket fixings typically supplied or specified by the plumber). No vanity cabinet, benchtop cutout, or wall-hung backing frame is required. The pedestal conceals waste and supply connections, providing a clean finished appearance from floor level.
A single pre-drilled centre tap hole accommodates standard deck-mounted basin mixer tapware. A built-in overflow provides passive protection against accidental overfill. Requires a 32mm pop-up waste with overflow (not included). Confirm rough-in dimensions and waste placement against the specification sheet before beginning installation.
Note: Ceramic dimensions are nominal — a tolerance of ±5mm applies to all fired ceramic products. Freestanding pedestal installation; basin requires light wall-bracketing for lateral stability — confirm with your plumber. One pre-drilled tap hole; overflow included. 01 Shipping & freight
- For most items, shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery postcode and cart, and the amount shown is the amount you pay.
- Large or bulky items (for example baths and vanities), tiles and flooring delivered outside our free-shipping area require a freight quote. For these orders, the $1 shipping shown at checkout is a placeholder only — it is not the final freight cost.
- After you place the order, our team will contact you with the actual freight cost for your address. We will not dispatch your order until you approve that cost. If you choose not to proceed, you will receive a full refund — no obligation.
- Greater Sydney — ongoing free shipping. We offer standing free standard shipping to Greater Sydney and selected nearby regions on eligible orders. This is a permanent offer, not a limited-time promotion.
- Other areas — occasional free-shipping promotions. From time to time we also run limited-time free-shipping promotions to additional areas. These are shown on site and at checkout for the promotion period only; eligible areas and dates may change, and they cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. MyHomeware reserves the right to make the final decision.
02 Standard delivery timeframes

Delivery timeframes are estimates calculated in business days from the date of dispatch, not from the date the order is placed, and apply to in-stock items. For backordered items, please see Section 07. Actual delivery times may vary depending on the courier and destination.
03 Order processing & delays
- You'll receive an Order Confirmation Email as soon as your order has been successfully placed.
- Please allow 0–3 business days for order processing. In most cases, in-stock orders are dispatched within the first 24 hours.
- Once your order has been dispatched, we'll email you the tracking information.
Some delays may occur due to circumstances outside our control:
- Public holidays, peak trading periods and major sale events may extend processing and delivery times. During Christmas and major sale periods, please allow extra time.
- Exceptionally high order volumes may occasionally extend processing times.
Remote areas: Courier networks may have delivery limitations for some remote postcodes. Where door-to-door delivery is unavailable, your parcel may be delivered to a local depot or Australia Post outlet, and you'll be notified when it is ready for collection.
04 Additional delivery charges
Additional charges beyond the standard delivery fee may apply where:
- Stair or lift access is required — for example, where the delivery point is not directly accessible or goods need to be carried up stairs. Additional charges may apply due to the extra labour and time required.
- The delivery location is difficult to access, or two or more people are required to complete the delivery safely.
Any additional charges are assessed on a case-by-case basis, quoted and agreed with you before we proceed, and billed on a separate invoice. No surprises.
05 Missed deliveries
- If nobody is available at the delivery address during the agreed delivery window, a redelivery fee may apply.
- Any additional charge will be communicated to you and agreed before a second delivery attempt is arranged.
- Please ensure that you or an authorised person is available at the delivery address during the agreed delivery window.
06 Pickup
- We'll prepare your order as soon as possible and email you a notification with your booking number and collection details once it is ready.
- Please wait until you receive this confirmation email before coming to collect your order.

Order storage: We can hold a paid order for up to 8 weeks from the date it is ready for pickup or delivery. If collection or delivery cannot be completed within that time, storage fees may apply — we'll always contact you before any fee is charged.
07 Out-of-stock & backordered items
Stock levels can change quickly, and occasionally an item may show as available but sell out shortly after your order is placed. If this happens, we'll email you and provide the following three options:
- Cancel backordered items We'll remove the unavailable items and dispatch the remaining in-stock items as soon as possible.
- Cancel the whole order Choose immediate store credit or a refund.
- Wait for replenishment We'll hold your order until the backordered items arrive.
For backordered items, the 365-day return period begins on the date you receive the item — not the original purchase date.
