Also, measure the width across the widest part of the bowl, typically around 355 millimetres. The standard bolt spacing is approximately 155 millimetres. Accurate measurements ensure the new seat fits well and stays secure.

A good quality toilet usually costs between $375 and $500 for a standard mid-range model. Budget options can start around $125 to $150, while high-end or smart toilets may cost $1,000 to $2,000 or more. If you're hiring a professional, expect to pay an extra $200 to $400 for installation.
