Infinity Carrara Marble Matt Black Rectangle Above Counter Basin
Make a considered material statement with the Infinity Carrara Marble Matt Black Rectangle Above Counter Basin (460×330×135mm). Its ceramic body is finished with a Carrara marble pattern printed onto a deep matt black ground — a combination that delivers the visual richness of natural stone veining against a dark, graphic base without the weight, maintenance complexity, or cost of a genuine stone basin. At 460mm wide and 330mm deep, the rectangular form is compact enough for powder rooms yet proportional enough for an ensuite, sitting above the benchtop as an intentional design element rather than a background fixture.
Carrara Marble Pattern on Matt Black — Stone Aesthetic, Ceramic Durability
The defining characteristic of this basin is the contrast between its Carrara marble surface pattern and the deep matt black base. Carrara marble’s distinctive white and grey veining — fine, directional, and irregular in the way natural stone is — reads differently against a dark background than it does on the white grounds where it is more commonly seen. Here, the veining is graphic and deliberate, producing a surface that draws attention without being decoratively loud.
The pattern is applied to a ceramic body rather than a natural stone substrate, which means the basin benefits from ceramic’s practical advantages — resistance to staining, uniform surface hardness, and ease of cleaning — without the sensitivity to acids and sealing requirements that real marble demands in a bathroom environment.
Rectangle Silhouette — Compact Above Counter Proportion
The 460×330mm rectangular footprint is the right proportion for a basin that needs to be visually present without dominating the vanity configuration. The elongated rectangle introduces a horizontal tension to the basin form — wider than it is deep — that suits vanities where the basin is positioned as a feature object against a wall or splashback of contrasting material. At 135mm deep, the profile sits comfortably above the benchtop at a height that reads as intentional without the exaggerated vessel presence of taller above counter designs.
The Carrara and black finish combination pairs naturally with dark joinery, brushed brass and matte black tapware, and stone or terrazzo benchtop materials. It also works against white wall tiles where the dark basin provides deliberate contrast against a light surround.
Vitreous China Ceramic — Above Counter, No Tap Hole
Manufactured from premium vitreous china ceramic, the basin body is dense, non-porous, and resistant to thermal shock, surface scratching, and staining under normal bathroom conditions. The matt black ground finish resists fingerprints and water marks better than gloss surfaces in day-to-day use, reducing the frequency of cleaning required to maintain the basin’s appearance.
Above counter installation places the full rectangular profile above the benchtop — no cutout required beyond the waste connection point. No tap hole is pre-drilled; pair with a wall-mounted mixer or a deck mixer positioned on the vanity top. No overflow is included. Compatible with a standard 32mm pop-up waste (not included).
