WaterMark is a water authentication marks for the Australian standards Australia (SAA) . The Watermark Certification Scheme is a mandatory certification scheme for plumbing and drainage products to ensure that they are fit for purpose and are properly authorized for use in plumbing and drainage installations. 

The WELS Certified Water Efficiency Labeling Program (WELS) applies nationally mandated water efficiency labels and minimum performance standards to domestic water products. Bathroom products are given different stars according to the amount of water they flow per minute.

WELS Star Rating System

0 Star:  0 Star＞16 litres/min (not meeting performance requirements )

1 Star:  16 litres/min＞1 Star＞12 litres/min

2 Stars:  12 litres/min＞2 Star＞9 litres/min

3 Stars:  9 litres/min＞3 Star＞7.5 litres/min

4 Stars:  7.5 litres/min＞4 Star＞6 litres/min

5 Stars:  6 litres/min＞5 Star＞4.5 litres/min

6 Stars:  6 Stars≤4.5 litres/min

Toilets can be a maximum of 5-stars and showerheads can be a maximum of 3-stars. Basically, 3 stars to 5 stars will meet the needs of a family.
